Hi,

This does not sound very urgent. There are no visible rash, discharge, swollen lymph nodes and other associated urinary symptoms.

You may use a mild and bland soap to wash the area. At this point,  I would not advice that you use any medications since this may only aggravate the condition. Let us wait for your physician's assessment prior to using any medications.

This may be only mild irritation in the area. Something superficial and should be no cause of worry. As this is related to your case, may I ask if you are circumcised?

Here are some suggested url's to guide you:

While awaiting your physician consult, observe any changes in the area. Conduct self testicular examination and maintain good genital hygiene.

Do keep us posted with regards to your physician's advice.

I have been having this burning feeling for about 2 weeks now and I can not go to a proper physician to get exact tests done as the town I live in doesn't hold a good medical facility. I am just concerned if this is anything serious. I don't have any burning sensation or any problem while passing urine but there is a constant burning feeling on the bottom side of the head of the penis.

Is there something I can do to stop this? If this is a infection how can I prevent it from spreading? Is there a remedy?

I can only consult a good physician after a month.

Hi,

During sexual activity , it is possible to irritate the skin of the penis which is fragile and sensitive. The minor irritations may lead to the discomfort. However, I would still suggest that you have a complete assessment done by your physician. An objective examination like a urinalysis will be able to help rule out any urinary tract infection. A urine culture done prior to the administration of antibiotics will also be helpful. A urethral swab culture to rule out an underlying urethritis may also be necessary.

Wash the area with a mild and bland soap. Superficial infections like balanitis may also be a differential. Balanitis may be caused by a fungal or bacterial infection. Mechanical trauma may also cause balanitis. However, the latter does not apply to your case.

Seek medical consult for an initial assessment. At this point, I do not feel that this could be something urgent.
