Skin Bridge Removal

I labeled this Sexual Problem because I didn't know what else to label it as...

I have 2 fairly large skin bridges on my penis, connecting the shaft to the head.
I know I have to see a urologist to get rid of this, but I still have a few questions

*How much would it cost? (Don't have too much money)
*Does it leave a nasty scar?
*What is the recovery like?
*What are my other options?

Hello, I have a 7 year old who also has a penile bridge adhesion. Did this hurt your son or make him more sensitive? If so was it resolved after the surgery? My son dislikes washing/drying himself so I'm wondering if this could be the reason? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

My 7 year old son had this and we had the surgery last spring.  It took 3 weeks and neosporin to heal. I do not know if there would be a difference in cost for adult, but TOTAL, the surgery cost $5400.00.  We have a $3500 deductible and ended up paying about $3200.00.  It was VERY costly, BUT worth it in my mind.  Our other option was to let him do it when he was older.  He now says his penis is "normal" and that is what we wanted.  Ask about the option to have it done under local anethesia instead of surgery... would be much cheaper... but might hurt a bit to get that first shot of novocain!!!!!!!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to frenulum breve. It is a condition in which the frenulum of the penis is short and restricts the movement of the prepuce, which may interfere with normal sexual activity. It is treated by frenuloplasty, frenectomy, or circumcision. Please consult a urologist. Depending on the procedure, cost varies. It may leave some scarring.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

I live in Canada, and here, it's covered -- it's not seen as cosmetic surgery. I got mine done today and it's not too painful, but it looks pretty unpleasant. The doctor froze the side of my penis where he did the op, and despite a few stings from the needle, it wasn't all that painful. The overall procedure didn't take more than 10 minutes. My brother was in my shoes a few years ago, and i asked him for information/advice. He said the healing will take a few weeks, but my urology doctor said it will take a month before it looks normal again. As for the scars, it's something i'm also worried about. On the head of my penis, the side where the bridge was, at the top it looks pretty awkward. The perimeter of my penis head was round/oval-like, like anyone elses. But -- now, hours after the operation it looks kinda squared/straight at the top/side where one end of the bridge was. I'm hoping to God it goes back into form once healed, I'm not sure it will and am already upset. Good luck.
