Urethral discomfort?

Maybe you all can help me where I have failed to find answers.
I am a healthy 25 year old male, and recently I have began having a feeling like I still have urine towards the end of my urethra.  It gets so bad, it feels as if I am leaking.  But not once have I found that anything has actually came out.  I hoped that after a few days it would just go away, but if anything it has gotten worse.  It is starting to affect my personal life.
There is no discharge, no visible redness, and my urine looks mostly normal (every time I remember to look, I haven't seen anything dark/bloody/clouded except maybe once).  I feel no pain, and my bladder is generally fine, although it's tough to control my reflexes and not accidentally pee myself when it feels like I'm already leaking.
I read elsewhere that it might be a light case of bacterial urethritis (shouldn't be viral as I've had no contact with anything/anyone), but I'm really in the dark.  Any ideas?

Hello, I'm back again.  Still hasn't cleared up, although it did go away for a while (several days).  No new symptoms.  It came back when I again forgot to keep drinking water.  I found that constricting the urethra helped greatly (temporarily switching from boxers to briefs).
Found this related post http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Urology/urethra-discomfort/show/1090042, and someone there mentioned that it might be stones?

This will probably be my last post on the matter, as only 1 other person gave it much interest in almost 2 weeks now.  I might try another forum or medical info site.  All I can say to others is, it's most likely urethritis or irritation from high sugar levels.  As for the direct cause, I'm still in the dark.  I'm not ready to pay an overpaid doctor yet, as I'll probably get another run-around or expensive "pill".  But who knows if this keeps up.

Happy holidays.

Hello.  Giving an update.  I still haven't gotten over it, but it seems to be getting better.  Today I went most of the day without the feeling, and it didn't return 'till around evening after using the restroom.  I slacked off a little on keeping the water drinking going, and had a soda..  might have something to do with my delay in getting better.

Signs still point towards urethritis unless anyone else has an opinion on the subject?

I have the EXACT same thing going on right now except I'm a 24 year old female. I went to the doctor to get checked for a Urinary Tract Infection and I didnt have one so I dont know what to do know for the pain, Ive tried many different things but the one thing that kinda helped, not completely though, was tea tree oil. If for some reason your pain persists think about trying some because it relieves it a little bit. And definitely please post again to let me know if it goes away and what you did to help. Thanks

Sorry for posting 3 times in a row.  Just wanted to say, I think I may have an idea what's wrong.  The "discomfort" has slowly turned into more of a burning feeling, the feeling of needing to urinate has gotten worse and my bladder is now starting to feel something, and I'm pretty sure my urine is a little cloudy (checked more closely this time).  So while things have gotten worse, I feel better knowing this is probably just a bladder infection of sorts.  Probably started down lower and is now moving it's way up.  I'm going to start a regiment that's worked for me in the past.  Huge amounts of water (not all at once) and strong cranberry juice (not the cocktail).

I'll post back in a few days if it goes away, just for anyone else's benefit.

I see that people are responding to other posts..  I hope I'm not being looked at as less serious and therefor won't be answered.  My post has already made it quite a ways down the list lol.  Any response would be greatly appreciated, even if it's a simple "Doesn't sound serious" or "Not enough information" type thing.  :)
