Hi,
Firstly, you need to avoid foods which are rich in sodium like fast foods, pickles, soy sauce, Chinese foods. Potassium also needs to be decreased by reducing the intake of nuts, fruits like bananas, peaches, oranges, apricots. The dark cola drinks also need to be avoided as they are rich in phosphorus which tends to accumulate. Foods that are high in protein are meat, poultry (chicken), fish, eggs, and dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt) should be taken in lesser amounts as they are to be excreted by kidneys and hence increase the renal workload. There’s no drug to decrease creatinine levels but the only way is to find out the underlying cause of the deranged kidney function and rectify the same. By taking the dietary precautions mentioned above, one tends to decrease the workload which improves the kidney function. I’ll suggest a nephrologist opinion. I hope that helps.
Hello,
In case of high creatinine levels,it can help to reduce daily calorie intake: calorie restriction is shown to shift metabolic pathways to a protective mode due to increased levels of ketone bodies, plus less body fat means less inflammation in all body's tissues. The foods which need to be avoided are red meats, diary, caffeine containing drinks
,white bread,white flour,sweets and butter.Foods that are to be taken are omega3-rich foods or Omega-3 supplements,garlic,raw onions,lettuce,cabbage,cauliflower,carrots
Radishes,turnip,cucumber,oat bran,fruit and sprouts.
Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
