I totally agree with MSKshelly.. after 4 years of severe pain in the penis and at the tip of my penis my urologist refereed me to a pelvic floor PT and so far it has helped... they actually do massages and stretching of your pelvic floor muscles.. muscles that I didn't even know I had !!!  It is a little akward at first becuase of the areas they do the massage and stretching but it is worth it !!!!

No you didn't scare me with the cancer thing. When my family doctor did the so called digital rectal exam in the past, my prostate was often enlarged and always painful. Antibiotics help plenty but they don't cure.

But we will see what they can find out. I hope it is just a bacterial prostatitis because it is easiest to treat and possible to cure unlike non bacterial and pelvic floor dysfunction but having sexual dysfunctions leans to something else than bacterial prostatitis.

Numbness in the penis and surrounding area is definitely one of the many symptoms of prostatitis. As our prostate doctors has discovered that the symptoms and pain of prostatitis has many forms and could happen in different part of the body, the most extreme symptoms are the tingling pain in the foot, or some back pain, or some soreness in the limbs.

In order to treat the numbness in the penis, prostatitis must be treated first to clear the source of infection. However, prostatitis is not easy to get a complete cure, oral antibiotics treatment usually is not satifactory.

You might also want to get a referral to a pelvic pain PT>  These professionals are trained to look at things differently that a urologist etc,
and are amazing.  It is very likely that you have some muscular issues down there as well, that could cause or increase the problems!

Sure.  I did not mean to scare you as its probably not cancer.  I am having prostate inflammation due to a rough cystoscopy, and I have felt numbness in the same way down there and still do.  I was just given anti-inflammatory meds, and antibiotics in case of infection.  It is probably something very similar for you like your prostate is swollen, which can even happen from too much sitting/driving/etc.

Thanks. I am trying to see a (new) urologist and neurologist because previous once said it is all anxiety. I don't buy it.

Im not a doctor, so im not sure; but I know that any chronic pain down there can lead to misinterpretations of stimuli (feeling good stimuli as bad, and vice versa), so I dont see why not numbness as well.  I also know those symtoms are indicative of prostate cancer, so if youre really feeling that, please go get checked out soon by a urologist or maybe even neurologist.
