I forgot to mention the doctor also tested for hernias and he said it looked good.
There were no blood tests done, only a urinalysis which came back negative. The doctor banged each side of my back lightly and I had no pain, I assume he was checking for kidney stones. Both doctors I went to see said my epididymis was a bit tender on each testicle, and that I might have had epididymitis. How this could be makes no sense to me. Is it possible to get the tiredness/feverishness, lower back pain near my spine and around, and epididymital pain from random viral causes? If I don't have orchitis or kidney stones or STD's, then what could it be? Two swabs were done and both also came negative for STD's.
I should also mention that the abdominal pain and testicular pain have basically ended nd all that's left is a feeling of mild feverishness and flu like symptoms. I don't have a sore throat or cough though, but I feel as if my head is fatigued and I can't focus as well (similar to a cold) and am a bit more tired. Is it normal to experience these flu like symptoms even after the abdominal/testicular pain have subsided? Is it normal to still have lumps near the epididymis area that hurt lightly when touched, and will it clear up fully with more time?
How are you? Were there blood tests done? Can you tell me more about the back pain? Were you checked for kidney stones? Testicular pain, or any pain in one or both sides of the scrotum should be taken seriously. The main causes for testicular or scrotal pain include the following: infection or inflammation such as epididymitis (inflammation of one or both epididymes), trauma or injury or torsion. Other causes to consider are: testicular tumors, hernia, pudendal nerve damage, or kidney stones.
Kidney stones may have referred pain in your testicles. Epididymitis is most often caused by a bacterial infection or by a sexually transmitted disease. It would be good to see a doctor for proper evaluation such as physical examination and blood tests or ultrasound to rule out other causes mentioned.
I hope this helps. take care and keep us posted.
