unraveling feeling

Hi. I will try t make this short but describe my problem.  I've had testicular pain for about a year now and have seen both my doc and urologist.  Ive been on pain medication after an ultrasond and urine analysis have ruled out any serious problem.  The pain has subsided considerably but still get a feeling like my testicles are unraveling.  It does not bother be too much mostly when I'm sitting and focused on it.  I'm just wondering if anyone has expereinced the same.  Thanks in advance,  JG

Hi Vanessa

Thanks for the response.....

I'm not sure exactly if I had a prostate secretion culture was done.  If it's the test were my urine flow was measured the answer is yes.  The test was normal.

The ultrasound was done on my testicles (Scrotal Ultrasound?) with only a small cyst on top of my right testicle.  My urologost and Doc were not concered.  This Unraveling feeling is not painful but more of a wierd feeling that goes away after a few secounds.  BUT... I notice it more frequently and only wondering why it happens.  Your response about nerve pain is something, I will look into more and ask my urologist on my next visit in two weeks.

Thanks again for the response and if anyone else has this issue please share your story.  JG

Hi

In the absence of any structural problems, this may be a case of neuralgia or nerve related pain. Other differentials will be prostatodynia and pudendal neuralgia. Was a prostate secretion culture done?

In prostate problems, a transrectal ultrasound should be employed to visualize the prostate. A scrotal ultrasound will also rule out involvement of scrotal structures. In your case, what type of ultrasound was done?
