What have you changed specifically? Try writing down five concrete changes you have made, and see if you're following through with them - that's one way to jumpstart the process.
I am really not a consistant kind of person. I started drinking acai berry juice and drank 3 ounces a day until almost all of it was gone. I started counting my calories for about 2 weeks and I ended up eating more than I normally do because my normal diet didn't have enough calories. I started exercising 3 times a week for about a month. I made sure I got in 10000 steps a day for about a week. I am just all over the place. I have such a busy schedule and 3 little ones and can't seem to get it right. I feel so hopeless.
Don't give up. Perseverance pays off. You could cut back on the number of steps as long as you do that minimum number consistently and then perhaps try to increase it gradually over a period of time.
The doctor will be better able t advise about the diet, etc.
