17 Days Menstrual Delay; 2 Diff. Pregnancy Test Both Negative

I'm 27 years old, My husband is 28 years old. We both have no vices & not into any fertility procedures nor using contraceptive methods, the only thing we do is "pull-out method". I already have a 3 years old daughter from my previous partner. My problem is... I am already 17 days delayed from menstruation. I already did two different pregnancy test kit, 1st on my 10th day delay & 2nd on my 14th day delay, both are done with my 1st morning urine. The results are both negative. My husband and I are not trying to have a child, so psychology-wise we are not hook at it. I am just so confused and irritated at the same time because this never happened to me before, ever. I don't know whether to be concern if I have sickness reproductively, or to be concern that if I am pregnant is it a healthy conception? I'm more worried that if so, is the baby Ok? And if I'm not conceiving, Am I OK? I'm really am confused... Please Help Me! Please shed some light on this... I will deeply appreciate your help. Thank You.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
First of all, to completely rule out pregnancy, you should get a serum HCG test done. If your periods are late by two weeks and your pregnancy tests are negative, then you may not be pregnant. But it's worthwhile to check with your doctor. As the other causes for missed periods can be hormonal imbalances where in the ovaries may not be producing eggs and hence the uterus may not be getting the right stimulation for menstruation. Other possibilities are thyroid disorders, where an imbalance of the hormone thyroxine can cause menstrual irregularities, and abnormally high levels of prolactin can also cause missed periods. So, please consult your doctor and discuss these possibilities with him.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
