Birth Control-Depo Shot

Can the depo-provera shot be given in between periods and still be affective? What would the effects of this be?

Hi,

Use another form of birth control for the first week after getting the shot. If you decide to continue with Depo injections, make sure you get your injection every 12 weeks for it to be effective and so that it can work properly.

Thank you!

Do you know the general side effects of it? Like if i get the shot now at the beginning of my period, when would I see my next period and know that I'm not pregnant?
Also depo-proverA and plan B?
