spotting on all bc pills
I have tried several different bc pills, and I always seem to have spotting. Are there any suggestions for a bc that seems to have less chances of spotting? I am currently on a pill with a constant hormone level instead of one that changes each week and it seems to be causing more frequent spotting and heavier spotting.
I have read that sometimes when you spot it is because you are not getting the amount of estrogen your body really needs. For instance, I was on ortho evra for 2 years and just recently switched to the nuva ring. As I'm sure you've heard ortho evra has 60% more estrogen than the pill. Well a day before I was supposed to take my nuva ring out I started spotting. The doctor said athat this was normal and that my body was just going through a little estrogen withdrawl. But I have read that certain people need a little more estrogen that others. Maybe you should talk to your doctor about switching to another type of birth control.
Oh I forgot to add. I only had the spotting on my 1st period with the nuva ring. My doctor told me that nuva ring has the lowest incidence of side effects and ups and downs. Since I have been on it, I have dropped a few pounds and have had no migraines. Which is great!!!!! I was always getting 3 migraines during my period.
