Same problem. I even get orgasms in my sleep, which causes the same pain instantly after. Makes me scared to go to sleep. Anyone know how to prevent this pain?!
Hi there, I am 26 and experiencing the same as you describe; menstual type cramps for about 10 minutes after a BM, in the week before my period. Did you ever find out what was causing this for you? I’m scared it’s endo. Thanks, Sophie
Hi, did you ever find out wether it was endo or not? Imexperimenting exactly the same 15 mins cramps after BM 2 years from now. Doctor will tell me its not endo but only paintful period, but i dont believe them anymore. I just went through ultrasounds. I havent get the results yet, but im afraid they will be negative and I dont know what to do anymore... Hope you can let me know! Thanks!
Hi, The same thing happened to me before my surgery. I was diagnosed with stage 4 of Endometriosis also with ovarian cysts. My case was extreme. Please consult your doctor! No point in putting up with that type of pain. It is not likely to get better.
Funny, I was just looking the subject up since I've been having them more often than not lately after a BM. They are definitely period cramps, almost contractual like. I've had those now for at least four years or so. I also have been spotting before my period now for at least ten years. If it helps, I also had extensive endometriosis involving my right ovary, the lower portion of my colon and appendix, and part of my small intestine which all fused together from adhesions created by the endo. Needless to say, all of that had to be taken out since I was on my way to an intestinal blockage. I don't know if the cramping after a BM is related to my endo or not -- I've always had bizzare pelvic pain at odd ball times that has gone unexplained for years. I also get them (the cramps) at certain times of the month at the beginning of any strenuous exercise, or if I rise from a sitting position too fast. I am an avid runner and that has been happening to me since puberty. Don't know if any of this helps, but I am thinking it's more of a crazy hormone thing in my case for both the pain and the spotting. Maybe it's the same for you?
My cramping is not really painful, more of a dull ache like the onset of menstrual cramps...and again, it is only around AF time..
I just had one of those last night. Mine started about 3 years ago, and the doctors could not tell me anything. At first I thought it was bladder spasms, but now after three years I am convinced it is the colon, maybe spastic? I think I am going to try to eat more grains and see if that helps. Also I had an u/s a couple of weeks ago, m/c, and they found a fibroid. I don't know if that has anything to do with the attacks or not. They are VERY painful, but only last about 10 to 20 minutes, and then start getting better, and I am sore afterwards. Are yours like that?
I have something similar, but it happens AFTER my period is over. I cramp and become very bloated. I feel like I am constipated, even though I have a BM. I am seeing a specialist, who hasn't figured me out yet.
Endo can often present with the symptoms you describe - but bear in mind, the intensity of symptoms is in no way related to the extent of disease. It would be worth following up with your doctor - it could be nothing at all.
