Following a radical hysterectomy in August 2004, I have finally been able to clear the majority of symptoms of menopause (hot flashes, nightsweats, moodswings, loss of libido, vaginal dryness, insomnia, through the use of bio-identical hormone replacement (Estradiol Vaginal cream, Testosterone cream and DHEA orally, daily). However, a couple of key symptoms are no better, if anything they are getting worse; those are Weight gain, fatigue and poor immune system.
My weight has shown rapid increase in the last 3 months from 115-120lbs to 135-140lbs.
I take viatmin and mineral supplements daily, I eat a healthy diet rich in fresh vegetables and unrefined foods, fish, tofu etc.., I've aslo had continual health issues, including pneumonia, flu, numerous colds, strep throat, abcess tooth, muscle pain, and recently Vulvar squamous cell hyperplasia and I have very low energy. I try to be as active as I can and work out although this has recently become something that exacerbates the fatigue, as opposed to energizing me as it did before.
PLEASE can anyone offer any suggestions as to what might be causing these symptoms? Please post any responses or feedback that you might have.
