Pelvic pain after intercourse

Hello whoever might be reading, I could really do with your help!

Firstly some background info:
2 and a bit years ago, I had to come off of the combined pill as I was suffering with migraines with aura. I was advised that from now on, only progesterone only contraceptives would be suitable and so I switched onto the depo injection. About a month in, I started bleeding. This is a common side affect and that was fine....except it carried on for 2 years. During this time all the nurses I saw who gave me my 3 monthly shot told me to persevere but eventually a year in, I was finally advised to come off of it and see a GP at my local practice who had done further study in Gyno issues to discuss potentially having the implant instead. She wasn't particularly helpful and basically just advised I come off of everything and see what happens. So I did. I stopped the injection in the May and by October I was still bleeding every single day. I saw another GP who swabbed me and discovered I had Bacterial Vaginosis as well as another skin infection. I was prescribed antibiotics and after another swab, it was discovered these had cleared up. The bleeding continued through to January when I was referred for an pelvic ultrasound which came back all clear and nothing abnormal detected. My GP was about to refer me to a gynaecologist when the bleeding FINALLY stopped! (Woohoo!!). I left it a few months and had generally normal periods and then (STUPIDLY) asked me GP to put me on a new contraceptive. She put me on a mini pill called Desogestrel.I started this about 4 months ago and bled for about 6 weeks. It seemed to be easing off so she was happy for me to have another 3 months of prescription (this was a month ago). Typically, just after I saw her, I started bleeding again and have done ever since (I still am right now) so on Tuesday on this week, I decided not to take my pill and let me body essentially have a factory reset lol. Clearly these pills are not for me.

But anyway, onto the real concern:

On Monday 28th, my boyfriend of 5 years and I had sex for the first time in well over a year (because of the all the bleeding. He's a lovely patient boy lol). There was no pain or issues during. Afterwards, I went to the toilet and when I wiped there was blood - no surprise as I was bleeding anyway. So I put a tampon in as I was going to bed and a few minutes after, I felt some discomfort/pain in my lower abdomen which I assume is pelvic pain?

Over a week on, I've still got this pain. Sometimes its a dull constant ache and other times it feels sharper. Sometimes it feels like that discomfort you get when you've held your pee for too long and are busting but it's not really relieved by peeing and I'm not having any burning when I pee either (so probs not a UTI?). It was quite on and off in the first week but has been constant for the past 3 days and is not eased by painkillers. I must note though - it's not severe pain. It's just uncomfortable and annoying. Initially I thought it was because I hadn't had sex in a while but why am I still in pain over a week later??

I know that ideally I need to make a Dr's appointment but I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this or could offer some words of wisdom to stop me from thinking the worst?

Thanks!
