Heard of 'anti-c' antibodies

I'm 20 weeks pregnant with 3rd child. My Ob/Gyn just told me i have "anti-little-c" antibodies titer 1:1
He is not concerned about it right now-because "the ratio is really low". He said if titers (ratio)
increase to 1:50 then get worry-too low to be significant at this point. Potential problems severe anemia or can be fatal to child.
We are to repeat blood test in 2 weeks.
I had 2 c-sections with my first 2 kids now 4 and 2.5 (boy and girl). How did i get this? He said if titers increase to 1:50 then get worry-too low to be significant at this point. Potential problems severe anemia or can be fatal to child.
has anybody experienced this during pregnancy?
what are the facts?
I did extensive research on this -can't find how i got this!
do you know of a website that can provide me with more info on this?
thank you!tanah

i am still looking and it may take a while. the concensus so far is if the woman is Rh+ than the other 6 antigens are not as concerning and should not affect the baby. the biggest probs with PG and Rh antibodies are more life threatening if the woman is Rh- and the baby is Rh+. the anti C is an issue but not a life threatening one it seems if the mother is Rh (D) +.

i am still researching....i will keep informing you on what i find.

Thank you for responding Christine,
no i have never had a blood transfusions.  I had 2 c-sections
and read something re: is possible for child's blood to mix with mother's by accident but i don't think it should be an issue if it did happen because I am Rh + and both of my kiddos are also
Blood Type: A positive.

I am getting the blood test done again on 2 weeks and hope the ratio remains the same at 1:1- which I don't know what it means but my doctor said is very very low. I don't know what is dangerous of the leverl of "concern" at this point.
thank you,
tanah :)
