misoprostol effect?

Hi,
I'm 5 weeks pregnant.. I took 800mg misoprostol (sublingual) last night at 10:11pm.. It's been 16hours still no cramping or bleeding neither spotting is there.. Just a little tiredness and nausea is there.. Why is it not effecting yet.. Is it a problem?

Check in with your doctor. It might take longer than that.

my doctor is currently not available.. I can't go to her and I'm really very upset as I have no effect other than mild back pain.. That too on and off

Seems like it didn't work for me.. Because it's almost 54 hours and nothing happened yet

Misoprostal doesn't work for everyone, and it sometimes doesn't work completely. I was given it to remove tissue from a miscarriage that had already happened but some tissue was left behind. No luck. Had to have a D&C to get it out.

Is this for a induced miscarriage? When I was preg with my third child my partner forced me to terminate, I had the surgical removal but before that you take the misapostral or whatever it’s called and as soon as I took it I got diarrhoea and felt incredibly sick, it was heartbreaking time. I’m surprised you haven’t had any symptoms yet

Did your doctor prescribe this for you?  Hopefully you received guidance from the prescribing doctor.  It does work within 4 hours for most women.  If you've had no signs of it working, maybe give your doctor a call.  Let us know what happens.

Yes.. The doctor told to mifepristone first and to take misoprostol (sublingual) after 24hours.. I did it.. Now it's almost 24hours for that.. But I have barely a mild back pain only.. No other symptoms yet..
