I was diagnosed with dilated ovarian veins in 2010, and had a embolisation (plastic)coil put in place. Could the chemicals from the plastic coil be causing further health problems? Are there BPA restrictions on medical equipment like this? I usual have reactions to the plastic needles that deliver fluids into your veins (i'v have this many times in hospital) The needles usually need to be replaced every few hours otherwise my vein swells, closes up and spits it out.
Since 2010 I have had the following illnesses which no doctor is yet to find a cause
-13mm IMPN cystic/tumour on pancreas branch (currently benign)
-nodular adhesions on my bowel - 2 bowel obstructions in the last 12months
-persistant thyroiditis and hyperthyroidism
-endometrial hyperplasia (benign)
-haemorrhaged ovarian cyst
-weight and muscle loss 10% of healthy body weight
-tingling sensation in feet
-heat sensitivity with constant red hands and swollen veins in hands and feet with increased temp
I was only 24 when I had the coil put in place. I'm 30 now. Never been pregnant or had any children.
My health problems are restricting my life dramatically.
Could it be possible my body doesn't like the plastic due to BPA or other plastic hardening chemicals? Would it be worth replacing it with a metal coil of some sort?
Thank you for reading. I hope you can help
