My period regularly occurs twice in a month, should I be concerned?

Im 15, I have two periods every month. They usually are 6-7 days long. I told my mom, but she said it was normal. (I think she is afraid of taking me to a gynecologist).

I think two periods of 6-7 days duration in a month's time is indeed unusual and you should see a doctor.  He or she will probably want to do an ultrasound to check for fibroids, and you should also get checked for anemia.  Keep a chart of when your periods come and do insist on seeing a doc.

I would see a doctor because if your not having sex you couldn't get pregnant or it might just be the food your eating. Try a healthy diet before going to the  doctor
