how birth cont. effects a home preg test

Hello I already have kids so I know the usual signs of preg but I have been on birth cont and still think i am definetely preg.  If I take a home preg test will the hormones in the birth cont. effect the test results?  I know I need to go to the doc and get an offcial test but it is the weekend and I am dying to know.  Any suggestions or help?  Thank you soooo much

No, birth control will not affect the test results. If you are pg, it will show up assuming it is far enough past conception.

I think you'll find your answers on the instructions of the HPT.
I don't think being on birth control pills will affect the result.  If you think you might be pregnant, it will probably
be a good idea to refrain from sex or go off the pill and use
another form of birth control method (condoms, etc) to you know
for sure for the baby's sake.

No, it will not affect the results. There is no HCG in borth control pills.
