Menstruation after miscarriage

I had a miscarriage in Feb and with my cycle which ended on Tuesday it was different. I had a light period with dry dark pieces of blood. Would like to know if its still left over tissue from the miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage last week and had to get a D&C. So far, the bleeding has been bright red - much different than my regular cycle.  I have also been wondering when my period will start.  My doctor told me it could be 4-6 weeks.

Did you have a natural miscarriage or have to get a D&C?  After a D&C, there probably shouldn't be any left over tissue.  I don't really know about a natural miscarriage.  I think the blood could possibly be thicker following a miscarriage due to the changes in your uterus.

I hope this helps!
