Need advice on manipulating birth control pills to achieve wanted results

I am getting married in two weeks and want to make sure I am not in that "bloated/water weight gain" stage of my cycle. I am on the pill, and was wondering if it is ok to take two weeks of the packet I am now, and then on the third week (the week of my wedding) take a whole new pack to receive the first week of hormones so I dont have the PMS issues I normally would at that time....  thanks

Thanks!  I actually did talk to my doctor awhile ago, and they said to skip the fourth week, but I want to take it a step further and skip the third week ;)   I dont want ANY PMS during this time!  we'll see what happens.. I may get scared and just do what I'm told.  Besides.. that's why the doctors get paid the big bucks, right? They have to know SOMETHING :P LOL

I had a friend that did this so she wouldn't get her period on vacation I think you have to skip the placebo pills and go directly on to the next pack. You could always call your doctor to be sure, this is not an uncommon thing to do for a wedding or vacation so I am sure he has heard it before and will know what to do.
Congrats on your wedding!!!
