did i lose the baby?

11 weeks pregnant, went to doctor on the 22 after light bleeding after intercourse. he did exam and said everything was fine. I asked for ultrasound and he did. He couldn't find a heartbeat. He then did vaginal, and still couldn't find heartbeat. He said baby measured about 8 weeks and he decided the baby had died. He did blood work that day and will do it again tomorrow, to compare levels. Could he be wrong? Could he have just not been able to see the heartbeat? should I ask for another ultrasound just to be sure?

Oh, I'm so very sorry.  The blood levels will give you your answer.  If the HCG is falling, that would mean the baby had passed.  I certainly can always hope that he was wrong but you'll have your answer soon enough.  don't fear that the sex caused it as many women spot after intercourse when pregnant.  I did during my first pregnancy.

peace dear.  Let us know what happens.
