I would see an endocrinologist and a rheumatalogist as you seem to have a lot of auto-immune symptoms as well. Your PCP is not equipped for the more complex disorders and if you are complex enough to have more than one, then the doc's head will explode so make sure you get copies of everything as you will have to coordinate your own care and stay on top of it.
See if you can find an endochrinologist to do the hormone testing. That specialist will drill down into far more detail than a gynecologist. Get a copy of the surgical report too. I've often been surprised at what doctors don't bother to tell me after surgery that is on the written report. While you're at it, get copies of any blood and pathology test results too. Since it looks like you're floundering around with no clear sense of direction right now, this is a good time to assemble your medical records before you head off to another doctor.
Yea its also called Retroverted uterus (Tipped uterus). Its basically where instead of the vagina tilted forward towards the urethra its tilted backwards towards the spine. it can be caused by pelvic surgery, pelvic adhesions, endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease, the labor of childbirth, Or you can be born with it. Symptoms include pain with menstruation or intercourse, mild incontinence, urinary tract infections (UTI), problems using tampons, and fertility issues.
but i also agree with rumpled, you might want to get some hormone testing done also.
i haven't been...i really feel like i need to be tho.
just don't think my doctor is taking me seriously sense they didn't find any endometriosis.
np! they did not find endometriosis.
but i have been on BC.. ( patch for a year , pills ever longer) nothing seems to help.
=[
tipped uterus? =0
I was also just thinking have you been checked for a tipped uterus? Because the not bleeding bad till you stand or walk sounds like what i have(sorry i didnt put it in the above post i just thought about it)
i understand the period thing, mine is really bad too. you said something was done for endometriosis right? so thats what you have, or did you say they found nothing? You could just have really bad periods and anemia which makes it super heavy. Have you tried going on bc for it? I was on yaz for almost 2 years and it made me completely normal (menstral wise). and since ive been off it i dont have many problems.
I had some of the same symptoms - I had endometriosis, PCOS, thyroid and pituitary issues - this is not to say you are the same just that they may have to look outside the gyne area.
