My periods are so messed up! Help!

Hey, saw this feature so I decided to give it a shot.  I started my period when I was 12 and was always pretty regular, I'm 16 now.  The past 5 months I would say they have been completely off.  I had one in late November and then it completely disappeared for a couple months.  When I finally got it it was there, but lighter than usual.  The next time I got it it was about 2 weeks late, still light.  This month I got it a week early and it was back to being a bit heavy as it used to always be.  Some people keep telling me I may need birth control to be regular, but I just don't know.  Any advice?

Hi there.  It is really common to be irregular at your age.  Being placed on birth control is way women/girls get their cycle to be predictable.  The hormones begin controlling when you have a period.  So, this is between you and your doctor.  But don't feel like you are alone or unusual as many girls your age are irregular.  good luck
