Reasons for Breast Tenderness???

I am 27 years old, relatively healthy diet. I eat plenty of fruits and veggies everyday I make conscious efforts to eat meat because my husband reminds me he's a meat eater lol otherwise I'd probably just eat seafood fruits & veggies. I am more of a tea drinker, a cup or two a day. I even drink apple cider vinegar yeck! But it curves my sugar tooth. I don't drink alcohol or any drugs not even birth control pills. I do take vitamin supplements though....whenever I can remember too lol. Okay so that's my brief background but for the life of me I can't figure out why my breast have been tender, heavy and just uncomfortable?? I loathe the steps now bc they bounce them around too much & it hurts. I have not gained any weight despite my boobs feeling super heavy and now spilling out of my size 34B cup bras. I have a regular predictable cycle as well. They have been sore since May 14th my last period began May 16th & ended May 22nd to day is June 4th! And they have been feeling this way nonstop since the 14th. They aren't as sore as the were the first week but they are still heavy and tender to touch around the sides. My next period is due next week June 12th. What is going on with my body? Should I take a pregnancy test? Only thing I'm seeing online is Pregnancy Hormones or Cancer, could it possibly be something else?? Although a baby would be a blessing :)

Hi,

Thanks for replying back to me. I ended up setting an appointment & was given a pregnancy test (blood sample). My results came back negative, my GYN was able to rule out fibrocystic disease,& breast malignancy & pjs was automatically ruled out since it was an ongoing soreness that carried over between two cycles. Interesting enough the day after my visit all the soreness left, one whole month of breast tenderness just left as quickly as it came. I nor does it seem that my doc has any idea of what happened or is going on with me. She did set me up for an ultrasound appointment  on my breast as a precaution though so we'll see how that goes. This whole thing has been bizarre.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Pain in breasts is called mastodynia or mastalgia. The various causes of breast soreness are premenstrual syndrome, hormone therapy, pregnancy and breast feeding, fibrocystic disease, use of oral contraceptives and rarely a breast malignancy. Please consult a gynecologist and discuss these possibilities.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
