Recurring cysts

I had an ovarian cyst removed last August through Laparoscopic surgery.  But since then, another one has form again on my ovary.  Is this a common thing to have cysts develop so quickly after one another?  I'm also on the pill and have been since discovering I had a cyst for the first one.  Can anyone help?  thanks

I had pco and have had 7 surgeries because of cysts it can be very painful I would check with your dr to see if this is what you have. I would go 6 months and not get a period because my ovaries were completely incapsulated with cysts so I would not ovulate. It took fertility drugs to make me ovulate. I lost both of my ovaries due to this disease and after all of that I had to have a hysterectomy two years ago. these cysts go to both ovaries. I started with them on my left ovary and after 5 years of pain had that one removed. My other ovary was fine for a year I started getting my period every month and then after that first year I started to develop it on the other ovary. I would ask your regular gp to refer you to a gyn dr and have an ultrasound. They can tell if  you have pco thru ultrasound. good luck to you....take care
