Spotting over four months?

I have been having vaginal spotting for four months, I am NOT pregnant. I also don't experience any pain. But I haven't had my period in two months. I had went to medpoint, and they told me that there was nothing wrong. But that I had to wait on further testing to be completed. So after that occurs, I have to get an ultrasound done. I doubt this, because you know your body more than anyone. This is not normal. I should not be spotting on an everyday or every other day basis. But before going to Medpoint ( 4-5 days) I had went to the bathroom, and my underwear and pangolins was soaked with blood. I was fine beforehand.. but at that moment..... Anyway It was a lot, but not heavy. But I am freaking out, because this hasn't happened to me before..
