Here is the story:
I was at the ER visiting my best friend who is a ER nurse. There was noone there so we went and listened to the heart beat, sounded good, took my BP that also was good at 125/75. Then I needed to pee so I took a chem stick and check the urine as well. It said that I had keytones, second gravity, sugar, and protine. It also was the strongest color it can go on the stick. So because of this, I went to my ambulance and check my BGL it was 5.7. That night I spent the night crying my eyes out because I know that having protine and sugar is NOT a good thing. The sugar I am not to worried about right now because this week I am going for a tolerance test, the big one. But the protine I am. I have no other signs of "toximia". Not much edema, only very little on the ankles, nothing in the legs, arms, or face. I just had a check up on the 4th and my BP was 104/70. The time before that it was 125/72. So my Bp was normal, nothing to be worried about there. So why is there protine in my urine? What could this mean? My Dr. is away for the week-end and I can't get a hold of her until tomorrow afternoon, so I thought I would see what I can get on-line for an answer. Please let me know as soon as you can. Thanks!
