Hi I got on birth control depo shot in October 2013 but was supposed to get it again in December but didn't because I didn't like the irregular periods I had. Me & my boyfriend had unprotected sex at the end of January & this time he came Inside of me after that I was nervous because doctors said the depo medicine was only supposed to last only 12 weeKs which is 3 months & I was afraid of getting pregnant. I took 2 different  home pregnancy tests and both was negative,  but I'm wondering could I still be pregnant?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
If you stop getting Depo-Provera injections, your period usually returns within 3 to 10 months but sometimes it may take 12-18 mths. Hence chances of pregnancy are less. However if you are apprehensive regarding the status of your pregnancy, you can get a serum HCG also done which is more specific than urine pregnancy test.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
