I would see a new gyno for starters as she has no idea what she is talking about. An ultrasound can NOT rule out Endometriosis. Endometriosis can't be seen on any test. The only way to confirm endo is an exploratory lap.
Please do not take what she said as fact because it is not and there are a lot of doctors out there that have no clue about Endometriosis.
So I am assuming you had no cysts on your ovaries right?
Do you have sex? Does it hurt?
When you have a bowel movement does it hurt?
So it hurts during ovulation and menses?
Explain to me about your pain. Where exactly besides the ovaries does it hurt? Is it just on one side, both?
Did she tell you to take the BCP continuously or break with the sugar pills?
Pelvic pain is NOT normal to this degree and this is what you need to know. It could be various other things like Adenomyosis etc but Endometriosis is usually the cause of the pain you are describing.
Nothing about cysts have ever been mentioned to me.
No, I am not sexually active.
Sometimes it does hurt really bad while having a bowel movement.
It hurts pretty much all the time.
All around, it's almost like if I've done 200 sit-ups non-stop. It's really sore. It hurts to the point I want to curl up in the fetal position and die. It is on both sides. Sometimes both sides hurt at the same time, sometimes just one hurts, but it's still sore feeling all over. And like I said before, it's like someone is squeezing my ovaries and trying to pull them out.
I was told to take the birth control continuously.
I would deff look into a new gyno and it sounds likes possible cyst on your overie? And endo can't be ruled out like that you can't see it on a ultra sound or any test.
I suffered severe endometriosis for several years...after seeking more than one opinion I finally found a great specialist..I needed a laparoscopy to find it... the pain was unbearable... I was hospitilised many times to have the endo lasered off..and had two laparotomys to remove it from the Douglas pouch..a space between the womb and bowel..Endometriosis was found in my bowel, and on the main vein to my kidneys...I wanted children and tried IVF three times... third time I was very lucky to have 2 beautiful girls..2 years later I had a Hysterectomy..they left one ovary I am now having abdominal pain and have to go for a check on the ovary that was left..I agree with KeeKeeCougar get a 2nd even third opinion Good luck love
