Vaginal cut?

I have been having sex only with my boyfriend for over a year now and I have every reason to believe he's only been with me.... about a week ago I forgot to take my pill and experienced some bleeding, I think I left a tampon in too long and it started itching... I think I itched too hard because I've become sore.  I took a look and it looks like I have a cut or the skin is rubbed raw in some part but not I'm freaking out that it could be herpes or something... is there anyway to rule this out without going to the doctor?

I agree, it could be thrush.  All the treatments are over the counter.  You can get the tablet (fluconazole) or any of the creams or pessaries ie Canesten over the counter at the pharmacy.

Hi hunni, it sounds to me as if you may have thrush. Sometimes your periods can cause this always remember to clean yourself regular and change your tampons and pads often. You will have o get a prescription from your dactor or you can buy some treatments over the counter in a pharmacy. The medication should work pretty quick so if it doesn't i suggest you visit your GP, trust me they see worse everyday, so no need to be embarassed.
