Vaginal odor

I need help.. I went to the gynecologist about a month ago after realizing I had a fungus infection down there. I realized I had had it for some time without realizing it. I feel so embarrassed by that :( anyway, the doctor said it was pretty severe and put me on a month’s worth of diflucan. Thing is. I’ve tried so hard to help down there. I went and got special soap and a short time before I realized the issues I bought new underwear in 100% cotton that were looser. But even when I wash myself properly down there, I still smell bad. Not like fish, but like.. dirt, sweat. After just 8-10 hours it’s absolutely awful down there.

When I was younger I could skip showering and still be fine down there the next day. Nowadays that’s not an option.

Does anyone recognize this? Why do I smell so bad. I’m taking some pills vaginally too to balance the bacteria down there. But like I said it’s not so much a fishy odor as it is sweat and yuck.

I suspect I might have low estrogen, I’m taking it up with the doctor on Monday as I have an appointment to check in the fungus treatment.. could that do this? Or is it because I have public hair?

I’m so sad about this and it’s affecting various parts of my life as you probably can imagine :(
