Each month between the last day of the menstruation and approximately up to the ovulation I have a variety of symptoms like abdominal / pelvic pain, cramps, too slow or too fast bowel movement, bloating, gas … the only things that partially help are heat and ibuprofen. These symptoms appeared (I don’t know if it is a coincidence) about 6 months after I stopped taking birth control pills. I took the pills for many years until I started noticing my period was getting very weak, almost nonexistent. At that point I saw a doctor, had multiple tests (including ultrasounds) which all came back fine. The doctor concluded that because of the pills my body was getting lazy and suggested I stop taking them ... which i did almost a year and a half ago. I have lived with these symptoms for almost a year now. I went to a gynecologist, I had a gastrointestinal check, I saw an endocrinologist, I had blood tests done and all sorts of ultrasounds, all were perfectly fine. I have no other symptoms (menstruation is super regular, normal and not very painful, I have no abnormal bleeding, no other type of pain, and absolutely no symptom after ovulation). Nothing is apparently wrong with me, however the abdominal chaos hits every month. What kind of investigation should I consider? What could be the problem? Thank you!
