Black Blood

11 days before i'm suppose to start my period, black blood starts coming out. I thought it was nothing at first and that it would go away, but its still coming out, and its been a couple days. I am sexually active, and i'm on the birth control Yaz. My periods have always been normal and light, with and without birth control. I am having a little of adominal pain. I'm not sure whats going on, my boyfriend has looked at the colour and even he is suspicious, because of how black is it. I've read other questions about this issue, but not one that has happened around 2 weeks before the normal period cycle is suppose to come. Any help or suggestions? I've thought about going to my doctor, but all she's ever told me for any of my problems is to wait it out, so i want to get some other opinions first.

black blood can be normal as its just leftover old blood, but if it lasts for more than couple of periods see your doctor again

black blood is old blood so it could be blood from your last period that hasn't made its way out. did you and your boyfriend have any slip ups? oh and by the way your doctor shouldn't use that excuse as an answer when you have a problem. i would go see a different doctor this is your health and if you are worried about something they should care enough to see you.
