abnormal bleeding and cramping after 10+ years of norplants and depot shots

my daughter has been on norplant or depo shots for 10 1/2 years. she suddenly started bleeding and cramping abnormaly to the point of missing work. she went to her gynocologist and he did a laproscope to check for edometriosis. it was normal. her doctor is lost and not really very smart in both our opinion considering he put her on a mdication for menopause and she is only 16 years old and wants to have children, not to mention the fact that when he put her on depo shot he said nothing about the 18 month average after coming off these shot to get pregnat and stated when she was ready to have children that her could put her fertility drugs. we have lost all confidence in this doctor and she is looking for a new one.
My question is this: could all the years of long term birth control that stopped her menstraul cycle be sismilar to having a miscarriage and a simple D&C stop the irregular and painful bleeding? I'm grasping at straws here and just in general looking for any possibility out there as a direction to go in. thank you,

I was wondering the same thing. Why would you have your daughter on birth control at such a young age? Not only that but I can not imagine a doctor willing to put such a young child on birth control without asking questions.

This may be a little harsh, but I do Not intend to offend you, but the first thing that comes to my mind as to why you might want her on birth control at such a young age is because of some sort of family sexual abuse. Like for example if you had thought maybe the father, or some other male relative might moleste the daughter and you wanted to make sure she wouldnt get pregnant by incest, and you were too scared to turn them in or too scared to get away from the situation. Again, if I am way off here I am sorry, but this is the only reason I could think of as to why you would put your daughter on birth control at the age of 5.

If there was another reason, please explain it to us so we can all understand.

I had the depo-provera shot 13 years ago and had bleeding for a solid 3 months.  My dr told me that I was one of a few percent of people that goes the other way, as most don't have a period at all.  It's all about the hormones and may take a while to get regulated.  They it took me about 6 months to get back to a regualar cycle.

Um, my question is why has your daughter been on birth control since she was 5?  And why are you talking about her having children at 16?  No mother in her right mind wants her daughter to be a teenage mother.  Sorry, but I don't understand the point of your question considering her young age.
