This past Saturday, May 30, with dr orders, I increased my Lyrica from 50 mg to 100 mg. This is due to sciatica or piriformis syndrome, i.e., back trouble. After taking 100 mg Lyrica, I was resting/laying in bed on my left side watching TV when a vibration noise came from under my pillow. I thought I was laying on my cell phone, but I wasn't. It seems that my heart had a rhythm of beat-beat-beat-beat-beat-beat-buzz-buzz-buzz. Blood pressure,129/82 P 87. I don't recall how long it lasted, perhaps 30 minutes. My dr said to see heart dr. I think I'll save another co-pay and just leave the 100 mg Lyrica alone.
Here's a weird addition. This has been bothering me in much the same way it has the rest of you for a month or more now. Always thinking my cell phone was going off and it wasn't. Last week a colleague of mine was standing right by me and we both reached for our cell phones at the same time, she said "did you feel that vibration too?" We both got that vibration in our abdomens at the exact same time. Could this be something in our environment?
I'm 52 and started BUZZING in my left ovary area recently. It is becoming more and more frequent, and driving me BUGGY! At least now, I know there are lots of people experiencing the same thing. I guess I can stop worrying about it so much. THESE are batteries that I WISH would burn out!
As an update, my buzzing began to get weaker and weaker, until I hardly noticed it at all. In two weeks it was gone entirely. I did ask my gyno about it, and he did not have any answers for me. I hope it stays away!
I'm 46 years old female and am also a buzzer. I noticed the buzzing last week and I too thought it was the cell phone. Took me a while to figure out that it was me. I am iron deficient and recently started iron infusions. I also have fibroids. I am a laptop user and wear my cell phone on my belt for work. Recently found out that I was exposed to TCE/PCE from contaminated water in Camp Lejuene NC when I was ages 5-8. I'm glad to know I'm not the only and am curious about the laptop comments. I had to finish a class last week and spent 14 hours a day for 3 continuous days over the weekend with the laptop on my lap. Shortly after that, I started experiencing the body buzzing. At first it was hard buzzing - now it is extremely light and annoying because I know it's there. Like other posters, I cannot feel it with my hand on my skin just internally. I have a doctor's appt next week - hope I can get some answers.
I am 24 years old and I went to the gynecologist three days ago for my annual exam, and this feeling began almost immediately afterward. It is incredibly annoying! I do not notice it when I'm up and moving, but when I'm sitting still it's all I can focus on. I thought I was going nuts at first! I think it’s ridiculous that there are so many people on this thread, but no one has an answer. Modern medicine isn’t so great I guess! I’m going to call my gyno tomorrow morning and advise him that this feeling began immediately after my exam. Perhaps a pinched nerve from the speculum? I will try stretching, and I also read on a men’s health board (guys have this issue too!) that a hot bath helped. Ugh. I can’t imagine living with this forever. The sensation is making it extremely hard to study for finals!
