I have PCOS and just had a baby. Stay on the metformin for your first trimester if your doctor will let you- at least that's what my doctor recommended and what i did. it is supposed to lower your risk of miscarriage to 10%-the normal range (from 35-45%)

in the 2nd trimester we switched to glyburide because there are more studies on how it effects the fetus after the first trimester (supposed to have a lower risk of still birth than metformin)

I've done alot of research on PCOS. If there's anything else you want to know, I can probably help out.

I have pcos and endometriosis also, so i can't conceive at all, i myslef tried the clomid to help with conception and it failed. I wish you the best of luck in ttc. If you have any questions, always ask ur health care provider to be sure about your concerns.
