mid cycle bleeding

Two weeks after I finish my period, I have thick, clotty brown blood. Came flowing out at first, then is lighter but constant. Lower back pain as well and some cramping. I am always very regular with my periods. What could this be?

Just to update, it was in fact a miscarriage. I was 3 weeks pregnant.

Yes, I'd go get checked out to be safe!  Very smart of you to do so.  If you get a chance, write back to us so we know what the doc said.  good luck

Pregnancy would highly unlikely.. have been using condoms.. last time we didn't use condom was right before mentrual cycle, and have had my period since. But been reading that it could be maybe cervix damage? Last time had sex was Tuesday and the blood began Saturday. It came on very suddenly. I am in mid cycle, ovulated about a week to a week and a half ago. I think I will go to the clinic tomorrow. I am experiencing lower bak pain and cramping today too. Very tired and weak.. My periods are always so regular..

Usually brown blood means older blood.  Could you have had a harmless ovarian cyst that passed?  You could have also had a blip in your hormones.  No chance that you could be pregnant, right?
