5 months ago had a baby VIA csection and a Tubal ligation as well and after postpartum bleeding stopped at 6 wks I never git my periods back. What could cause this? I have also went from 135lbs to 110 since my delivery and have had digestive issues such as extreme hunger upon waking and nausea if I don't eat something every 3 hrs. Please help!

Thank you for your input. Out of nowhere I finally started my first cycle and my OB had ordered some blood tests to check on my hormones and thyroid.

Hi,
How are you? A woman's period after a caesarian -section may occur from seven to nine weeks. However, if you are breastfeeding, this can take even longer. Other factors that can have effect on the onset of menstruation include hormonal changes, illness, stress, weight gain/weight loss, and various health issues such as thyroid problems. Also, it is also common for women after caesarian section to ovulate even before the period starts. If your symptoms persist, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation.Take care and do keep us posted.
