painful vag area! help please

Im 22 years old and have been with my wonderful boyfriend for 6 months now. We are sexually active but both experiencing problems we've never had before. One day I noticed he had raw skin under the head of his penis and when i asked him about it he said it didnt hurt. We just figured it was just from forcing it in when I wasn't wet enough the day before so we went ahead and had sex. The next day I noticed pain down there so we didn't have sex for a whole week. We did it again today and his penis still has the raw skin and now my labia is swollen and red and painful. Im not too sure what's wrong and pretty freaked out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's quite possible its nothing more than a bacterial infection. It might be left over from into having enough lubrication once, but keep in mind that the skin is skin. No matter where it is it is prone to all sorts of infections such as fungal, bacterial or even yeast. I suggest you  both see a dr. Likely this is a easy quick fix, so the soon the better. It's possible all you need is a cream.
