I have had that happen too sweetie. I am no longer on birth control but I do know that it can make your system a little whacked out for the first few months and then it all goes back to normal with of course the added bonus of birth control. Lol! Nothing to worry about. Now, if it continues to go on and on for some odd reason, contact your doc and they can tell you what they think:)

Hi there and welcome.  Well, the average length of a woman's period is 3 to 7 days so you are currently outside of normal.  However, you DID just start hormones entering your system with the pill which can throw things off so would not worry just yet.  Is it more like spotting currently?  Brownish in color?  This would be normal as your body is adjusting to the hormones.  If it continues, do call your doctor to let them know.  If it is full on bleeding, that is a bit long.  Again, wait until Friday of this week and then call your doctor for advice.  it's most likely the addition of hormones into your system wreaking a bit of havoc but you'll want to make sure the pill you are taking is the proper one for you.  good luck dear and let me know what happens
