premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) .

I just wanted to know if I am taking marvelon21 everyday with no break can i still have this disorder. I feel like this is athe time I should be getting my period but I dont but i feel severely pms'y. Is there another BC that i can take that would help with this. I know that mine is a low dosage and it works well for me. I have been on this since July 2006 with only 2 periods because they are trying to shrink some cysts and because of Endo. Although i have never been diagnosed because I am awaiting surgery still. What else can I try because I cant live liek this. I get depressed to the point that it affects my life for about a week.

Any help would be great ty

I was recently diagnosed.  Thank God there is a name for it now, and not just "women get crazy around their period."  I knew I was experiencing more than just "PMS".  The symptoms start 2 weeks before every cycle, and have been getting progressively worse.  I cry uncontrollably, yell, throw things, eat like crazy, swell up...and the actual flow is extremely heavy.  I am currently praying to God to remove this...or show me a way to cope so that it does not affect people I love (especially my daughter).  May God also bless you ladies who struggle with this.

PMDD is caused by unbalanced hormones. I used to have SEVERE severe symptoms my entire life but after taking Vitex (which is a herb also known as chasteberry, or agnus castus) I now have nothing. I would experience major depression, crying constantly, sore breasts, very bad food cravings, and now I would not know my period is coming if I didn't look at a calendar. It was life-saving.

I have a girlfriend who also had bad PMDD (she once SCREAMED and ran off in a fit when she was at my house and I asked her if she wanted something to drink - "Why - what is so wrong with me that you think I need a drink!" We laugh about it *now*...) She started to take Evening Primrose Oil and now she is like a normal human being every month.

Check into these options - you don't need to suffer and speaking from experience, my symptoms went almost completely away the first month I took Vitex.
