reoccuring boil....i think

well ever since my son was born crazy things have been happening to my genital area. one of the most uncomfortable for me is that i keep getting boils on the same area on one of the lips of my vagina. i have been to the doctor and had medication perscibed to me and they go away and come back. sometimes they are not very big and come to a head so i can pop them after appling a heat compress. but i also have problems with ingrown hair because until just recently i started shaving the correct postion because i never knew. so bacically i want to know why i keep getting them and if it could be herpes or something else i don't know about. thank you.

thank you for replying because your more than likely right. although i got a brazilian wax not to long ago and thats when i really started to get bad ingrown hairs not to mention how painful it was. i wish i could find a way to just get rid of the hair there altogether.

I just found out that these are probably infected hair folicals.  If it were herpes, it will not come to a head.  Herpes are little blisters that once they burst, they burn a little and itch especially when your urine touches it.  A hepres lesion looks like a slit in the skin with clear fluid.  The boils come to a head.  These are typical when a person shaves because the razors actually hold bacteria and think about it, if  you shave your armpit then your vaginal area, you will probably be transferring some bacteria from one place to the other.  Most of what I have found out is you need to use an anitbacterial cleanser and wax instead of shaving that area.
