Hi
My wife and my self had pre-marrige sex in 2012 may which was only once . how ever due to her worries in getting pregnent she had Postinor tablets (An emergency contraceptive pill ( to be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sexual intercourse)
While her average period was 30-35 days after having the above tablet her avg cycle changed to 45 days. We got married in Dec 2013 and its almost 60 days she hasent got the periods.
1. Is it becos of our new family life the period has got delayed upto 60 days?
2. Does new family life change Hormone in a women ?
3. Doctor prescribed Diane 35 to reguralise will it give side effect
Thank you for the response. I will keep you posted. I did receive my period (or withdrawal bleed) in the time frame I paused taking the pill for 7 days and have resumed after the 7 days were expired. I have a follow up appointment with my GYN and will see what she says, I felt slightly stupid for not knowing how to take birth control pills. But thank you for your response, now I feel a little less stupid :).
Hello,
Sometimes withdrwal bleed can be irregular initially. You should consult your doctor and start the new pack of Diane pills after the 7 day withdrawal period so that your periods can be regularized.
For conception, try having intercourse every month around your ovulation days as it is the best time for conceiving. Ovulation is the release of a single, mature egg from a follicle that developed in the ovary. It usually occurs regularly, around day 14 of a 28-day menstrual cycle. The best timing of intercourse in order to conceive is day 10, 12, 14 and 16 (in case of late ovulation) of a 28 day cycle. After intercourse, do not wash immediately and keep on lying for some time. You can also keep a pillow under your buttocks.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
