tetanus shot

doese anyone know if it is safe to get a tetanus shot during pregnancy (First Trimester)?

I did! I got bit by a black widow spider and ER gave me ten shot shot and a round of antibotics.

I assumed it was OK because I was 4 months prego.

Good question to call OB on though.

In many underdeveloped countries, it is routine to give women tetanus shots because the odds of them using something sterile to cut the cord is slim to none. They do it as a prophilactic measure to protect both mom and baby.

Definitely ask your OB, chances are they will okay it.
