trying to get pregnant

I am trying to get pregnant and want to know when is the best to do so friends have told me 5(five)
before your period or 5 (five) days after is this true if any other suggestions please feel free to post them

The best thing for you to do is get a OPK(ovulation predicter kit) and also check your CM(cervical mucus) and CP(cervical position). After your period your CM should be clear but feel sticky like. As you near Ovulation your Cm will get creamy/milky and feel thinner...right before ovulation your should have egg-white mucus that stretchy and wont break easliy between your fingers.It should basically resembles raw eggwhites or also snot. CP should be barely reachable. If you can somewhat reach your headed toward ovulation, right after your period CP will be very easy too reach. So, high CP and snotty,stretchy CM are fertile moments :)

no its usually best when you ovulate which if you have regular periods it will be roughly 12-14days after the first day of your period.
