Concerned

Okay, I am not whoever this lilmama is, I guess we are similiar in a way, but the hospital I went to was a training hospital, so I wasnt sure about anything really. I did look up things on the internet but I am not asking anyone if I am pregnant or not but I was trying to see if anyone went through the things that I am going through right now. Me and my fiance had a huge disagreement last night because of the alcohol intake and I am real upset right now, I dont know where to turn and this forum really helps me and gives me a lot of support, so if anyone out there knows anything that can reassure myself then let me know. And to answer someone elses question, we check the cervix but laying on my back, opening me up and using a flashlight to see, I have personally sen it for myself and if I am really honestly pregnant like I think I am, I will let everyone know, I have lower abdominal cramps that is why I went to the doctor to begin with.

I'm still confused as to what you're asking.

The only way to tell if you are pregnant is to take a test, using a first morning urine when your period is due or shortly thereafter.  You can also have a blood pregnancy test done.

An ultrasound may also be able to give you some information.  Hospital ER's are the worst place to go for non life threatening problems, so you are better off seeing an OB-GYN.

It is extremely difficult to see a cervix without the use of a speculum, as it sits very high in the vaginal canal and to the back.  (unless you've had a couple of children before).  Even then, color and consistency are not absolutely diagnostic of pregnancy.  Again, the only way to tell is via a test.

There is little to be gained from trying to see your cervix in any event.  Even if you can see it, it means virtually nothing.

maybe wait a week, and go to a different dr. if you are pregnant, maybe your not far enough along, let the hcg build up a little.did you take your hpt apart and look at it? is that how you saw a line? i guess i didnt understand your last post. but believe me your eyes can play tricks on you, when you want to see that positive line soooooooo badly, you look, and look, and look again until you actually see a line, and by that time the ten minutes may be up, and then the test is no- good. Trust me, i studied my hpt's like crazy, until i realized my eyes were playing tricks on me. if you are pregnant you need to STOP  checking your cervix! leave that to the dr.you could get an infection!

I understand that you're looking for support from the ladies here but you have to be more explicit in your posts. What exactly are you asking us?
