Well with my dad and grandmother being diabetic i know what high sugar levels are. I believe if i was a diabetic my level would of went well above 130. Considering i was not fasting and had just ate a muffin with coffee and then the sugar drink. My morning sickness seems to come in the afternoon and night which is weird. Im sure my 3 hour will be just fine.
I hated the glucose test. I couldnt ever quite stomach the taste of the drink they give you. It is not bad execpt you have to stay at the doc office the whole time (at least I did mine). I found out I was an actual diabetic with my first son at 6wks. The glucose test showed me as gestational but doc warned with it showing like that in such an early phase in pregnancy that I was more likely to be a regular diabetic and he was right..it stuck with me even after I gave birth to my first son. I had to take insulin shot thru both pregnancies and again with this one. Every other diabetic med (metaformin, novolin N, and glimerpride) I was taken off of.
It is not that bad unless your morning sickness is awful...then it is a bit hard to drink and keep down that dreadfully super sweet conconction they give you. Good luck hun!
They are not doing another hcg test because they said my numbers were high enough. I just hope this little bean stays sticky for us. I hope all goes well with my next glucose test.
HCG levels can vary from woman to woman and pg to pg. Typically when a dr is taking them, they are comparing if the double aprx every 48 hrs as an indication of a healthy pg. One number in itself won't tell you a great deal. That being said, I found the following chart:
3 weeks: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
7 - 8 weeks: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
9 - 12 weeks: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
13 - 16 weeks: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
17 - 24 weeks: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
As you can see, the ranges are pretty wide and the number that you do have is looking GREAT!!
I'm sorry but I don't know anything about the glucose test.
