seeing the past

Shortly after my grandpa and then my father passed on, I used to see people every day that reminded me of them.  Some looked like them slightly, or perhaps had the same walk or posture.  Some had their voice....  Has anyone ever experienced this?

I have heard that some believe that when that happens, the lost love one is trying to make contact.  I almost buy into that.  Its been almost 14 years since my grandfather passed away, and I still see people that resemble him in numerous ways....

I havent experienced that but I do know that I have some of my mothers behaviors ,I have also seen it in my brother so maybe it is a fact thet genetically we have a pre desposition to be like them,are the people that resemble him ,family ?

No, the people that resemble him arent relatives at all.  Normally some random guy, in really any random place.  The last time this happened was at our tiny local grocery store.  This guy physically looked like him, even the glasses were close.  When I saw this guy, he nodded hello in a fashion real similar to the way my grandfather did. His hair was close, style of clothing almost identical.....its just weird.

I used to see my father alot, but there arent any relatives that resemble my father at all.  My dad was the tallest guy ever in our family at 6'5".  I may be the next closest at almost 6'.  More than anything with my dad, someone would have the same posture or walk.  

I used to have very vivid dreams about finding my dad in a situation that he'd never be caught in...say like a tennis club or something.  He'd be seated close to me, but hiding his face with a news paper.  I could hear his voice say, "its ok boy, everything is fine.  Dont tell anyone you saw me."  Normally the dream would end just like that.  Then within the next day or so, I'd see someone resembling my dad.  

Just weird, and super coincidental...perhaps too coincidental for me to not think something else is at work there.

i am inclined to agree with you, unless you miss them so much you see them in other people as per se .....wishful thinking ..

I was initially thinking the same thing....that I missed them so much that I was finding comparisons everywhere.

But considering the fact that my grandfather died about 14 years ago, and is less often on my mind, I still see him everywhere..... prob ably more my subconscious more than anything else.... oh well.
