Once upon a time, I was I young and adventurous teenage girl. I have always felt a connection to the other side, and yes I used a ouija board. My friends and I would sit in a small field and attempt to contact others from the beyond. Now I'm older and will not have anything to do with those kinds of things, I still find that I am still sensitive with my surroundings. Have you seen the movie "Stir Of Echoes" with Kevin Bacon? His son in the movie, talks to what his parents think is an imaginary friend. I had an "imaginary" friend when I was 3. Only he was just as "real" as you and me. He has since moved on, or maybe he stayed in the house we lived in so many years ago. I now live in an apartment building/ house, where my best-friend says he knew an older woman who lived here. She since has passed on, but he still feels her presence when he comes over. So do I and I never met her. Her name was Flo. She was from Kentucky, a short, robust woman always welcoming people. She is always here. Though I cannot see her, I can feel her. I can sense what she wants to say, mind you, I cannot hear her but feel the words she wants to much to convey. Again, I do not go looking for ouija boards and ways of contacting the other side. I have been fortunate enough not to have any "bad" experiences regarding the spirit world, though I do have plenty of ghosts that haunt me from my own past.
margy for added reassurance place some sage behind the picture counteracts any negativity x
I am with you on that. I am sure I will open a can of worms that I had no intention of opening. (Thats kind of my luck as of late) Did know a couple of sisters back in high school that began to practice witch craft and use ouija boards and the likes. The 2 sisters kept getting weirder and weirder, and out of nowhere they snapped back out of it.
I mean their clothing styles changed, their opinions on everything changed, they pulled back from their friends.....and then all of a sudden all of that quit. Dont know what they stumbled upon, but it must have scared the bejesus out of them.
hahah not my mom, my granmom ......lol nuts more like it, bohemians they were known as ....yup I agree not something I want to mess with ....
Sounds like your mum was a very interesting person. I probably wouldn't agree with her politics but a fascinating life nonetheless.
I've cautioned my children strongly against fooling around with it. After seeing and feeling the things around the house, they believe me. Never open a door if you don't know how to close it. Very very dangerous.
not me but I know from stories told me my gran ma went to a lot of seances, serious ones, also the weedgie board ,okay I know its spelt differantly , my mom would tell me a few things about it, they were all a part of a Cafe society' living in England HG Wells was part of italso George Bernard Shaw , , humm.... they were also progressives...thought they knew it all, wanted to change the World ...ha now where did they get that notion
